Ⅰ. Definition of casting
Casting is to pour the liquid metal that meets the requirements into the mold cavity that is suitable for the shape and size of the part through a series of transfer tools, so that the liquid metal fills the mold cavity under the action of gravity field or external force field (such as electromagnetic force, centrifugal force, vibration inertia force, etc.), and waits for it to cool and solidify to obtain the production method of blanks or parts, which is usually called metal liquid forming or casting.
